Single and Double Pole Single Throw (SPST and DPST)
Manual Battery Disconnect Switches by Cole Hersee comes in both Single Pole Single Throw (SPST) switches and Double Pole Single Throw (DPST) switches. These battery master switches shut down a vehicle’s electrical system by cutting off current from the battery. They are designed to help prevent tampering, theft, battery drain and electrical fires. They are available with brass or plated steel cases and are actuated by lever or hencol key. Contacts are either silver or copper. O-rings feature in the operating shaft of some models for additional moisture and dirt protection.
Suitable applications can include heavy-duty mining and construction vehicles, and other off-road vehicles. APS can supply both types – see the Parts table below for the type you require. When ordering – append BX to the Part number for the boxed packaging option.
Double Pole Single Throw (DPST)
Double Pole Master Disconnect Switches will disconnect the battery and the alternator or generator field circuit. Each pole handles 125A (continuous) at up to 36V DC. The Double Pole Master Disconnect Switches include four 3/8” -24 stud terminals, lockwasher and two brass hexnuts per stud.

- Controls two systems, or it can be used to disconnect both positive and negative of the same circuit (which is required in some countries.)
- Contact ratings: 75904-01: 125A continuous, 750A intermittent. 75907: 300A continuous, 750A intermittent.
- Silver or copper contact surfaces. Epoxy-sealed and gasket-sealed.
- Both poles are separately insulated.
- Compatible with Littelfuse lock-out kits.
- 3/4”-16 thread. Fits panels up through 1/4” (6.4mm).
- O-ring seal in mounting stem; gasket seal at terminal insulator. Epoxy seal at case, mounting stem and locating pin.
